BATANGAS CITY—A fisherman was missing while 22 others were rescued when a fishing boat was hit by a shipping vessel in the waters of San Fernando town in the island province of Romblon on Saturday morning, police said.

In a report, Supt. Imelda Tolentino, information officer of the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marindque, Romblon, Palawan) police, said the fishing boat was on a fishing trip in the waters of Barangay (village) Espana at 5 a.m. when the shipping vessel, owned by the company 2GO, hit it.
