Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) founding president Lauro Vizconde suffered a heart attack on Friday morning, a VACC official said.
“Ka Lauro Vizconde, chairman emeritus (of) VACC, suffered (his) fourth cardiac arrest this morning and (is) now in ICU at Unihealth-Parañaque City,” VACC chairman Dante Jimenez said.
Jimenez said Vizconde’s relatives and VACC members are holding a vigil.
He said Vizconde’s sister Letty informed them that the family is “waiting for the doctor to remove the (life support) machine and leave everything with our Lord.”
“We will miss him,” Jimenez said.
Vizconde founded the VACC after his wife and daughters were massacred in their own home. IDL
