‘Laglagan’ time? Sandra Cam threatens to campaign vs Cayetano

THE  proclamation rally was not about individuals but about genuine change Mayor Rodrigo Duterte wanted for the Philippines.

This was the statement of Duterte’s running mate Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano amid issues that some senatorial candidates under their slate were not given the chance to speak and present their platform during their campaign launch in Tondo last February 9.

Senatorial aspirant Sandra Cam has accused Cayetano’s staff of barring her and other candidates from going up  the stage to address the crowd.

To get even, Cam said she would campaign against Cayetano.

“The proclamation, the event was for the Mayor (Duterte) to express the changes he wants in the country. Hindi para sa amin iyon,” Cayetano said, saying there was limited time.

He said the campaign is “about the message, about change.”

“May mga sacrifices talaga sa individual campaigns. So, sa mga tunay na nagmamahal kay Mayor Duterte, let’s sacrifice din ng konti,” he said.

Besides, Cayetano said that they have yet to announce their official senatorial slate.

“Doon po sa mga senatoriables, hintayin niyo ang desisyon niya at ng  campaign team kung sino officially i-eendorse kasi so far panay individual endorsement pa. Yung buong Duterte-Cayetano tandem ay di pa nagde-decide kung merong i-e-endorse as a group,” Cayetano said.

He said anybody who wants to support the presidential bid of Duterte can do so even if he or she supports another vice presidential bet.

“Lahat ng naniniwala kay Mayor Duterte, welcome sumama. Welcome to campaign for him. Kahit ako hindi umaangal kahit sino ang dala nilang vice president,” he said.
