Escolta, Ongpin, other streets in Manila closed for Chinese New Year parade

The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit has advised motorist that traffic will be closed for the Chinese New Year Solidarity Parada at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.

Parada will start at the Post Office then will turn right to Jones Bridge.

From Jones Bridge, the parade will turn right to Escolta Street, turn left to T. Pinpin Street, again left to Dasmariñas Street and another left to Nueva Street.

From Nueva Street, it will turn right to San Vicente Street, left to J. Luna Street, right to Muelle dela Industria, another right turn to Muelle de Binondo Street, then back to Dasmariñas Street, left to Quintin Paredes St., back to Ongpin St. then to Soler St., left to Reina Regente and will end at the Lucky Chinatown Mall.

The MDTEU said parking for participants will be the stretch of Magallanes Drive in front of National Press Club and Immigration Building.

MDTEU said traffic along the area will be opened immediately once the parade passes. TVJ
