Some portions of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) and White Plains Avenue will be closed to traffic to give way for the preparations leading to the Edsa Day on February 25.
In an advisory issued by the Edsa People Power Commission (EPPC) on Sunday, three lanes of White Plains Ave. will be closed from Feb. 14 to 27.
On February 25, the entire White Plains Ave. will be closed while the portion of Edsa Shrine to Santolan will also be closed to traffic until 1 p.m.
EPPC executive director Maria Montelibano said that an experimental museum will be built to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Edsa People Power revolution which toppled the Marcos dictatorship.
“It is 500 feet long, 30 feet wide and will use three lanes of the road,” Montelibano said.
Feb. 25 is a special non-working holiday in accordance to Proclamation No. 1071 issued by President Benigno Aquino III last July. AJH/JE
