866 out of 1,556 pass architecture board exam; AdDU grad, UST on top

A total of 866 out of 1,556 examinees passed the recent licensure examinations for architects, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday.

Data from PRC showed that the University of Santo Tomas (UST) emerged as the lone top-performing school after posting an 86.08-percent passing rate, or equivalent to 167 passers out of 194 takers.

The PRC requires at least 50 examinees and at least 80-percent passing rate for a school to be declared as top-performing.

Neil John Bersabe of Ateneo de Davao University topped the exam with an 84.50-percent passing rate.

The exam was administered by the Board of Architecture in Manila, Cebu, and Legazpi last Jan. 29 and 31.
