2 bodies dug up at drug suspect’s home
MANILA — The bodies of two men who went missing last week were dug up from a shallow grave inside an abandoned house in Tala, Caloocan City, Wednesday morning.
Police said Reynaldo Velasco, 62, a native of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan province; and a man known only as Regienald were buried in the house belonging to Khalil Moda at Phase 12, Barangay 188.
When exhumed, the bodies were found wrapped in masking tape and already decomposing.
Supt. Reydante Ariza, assistant chief of the Caloocan police, said a concerned citizen gave the location of the bodies and tagged Moda as the killer.
The suspect was not home when the police found the bodies. Moda was arrested in Langaray, Caloocan, on Oct. 12, 2015, for alleged drug peddling and managed to post bail the following month, said the city police chief, Senior Supt. Bartolome Bustamante.
According to Velasco’s daughter, Rachel, her father had been missing since Jan. 28 and was last seen with Regienald on a motorcycle going to Bulacan. She admitted that her father was a drug user. SFM
