Woman dies from suffocation in Parañaque robbery-arson incident

A woman in Parañaque City has died from suffocation after robbers set on fire a nearby condominium unit early Tuesday morning.

A report by Radyo Inquirer identified the victim as 34-year-old Roleyne Acloan, a resident above the burning unit 401 of Berlin Building, Kassel Residences, in Barangay Moonwalk.

Supt. Ariel Andrade of the Parañaque City police said the suspects intentionally set the unit on fire to escape from the scene.

Andrade said Acloan was rushed to the hospital but eventually pronounced dead.

The report said two children and one cop were also brought to the hospital for treatment after inhaling excessive smoke. Yuji Gonzales with reports from Ricky Brozas, Radyo Inquirer 990AM/RC
