SENATOR Nancy Binay insinuated on Tuesday that the Liberal Party (LP) or its standard-bearer, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, was behind the negative political advertisements against her father, Vice President Jejomar Binay.
This, despite the LP’s denial that it had nothing to do with the ads, which revived the corruption allegations against the Vice President, the voters’ top choice for president based on latest surveys.

“Eh kasi ’di ba among all the other candidates, sino lang ba yung puros negative yung nagkakalat whether sa amin, whether kay Senator Grace o kaya kay Mayor Duterte? Parang kaming tatlo, may common denominator kami e,” she said.
Senator Binay was referring to the two other rivals of her father, Senator Grace Poe and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
“Kumabga sila ang pinakamalaki ang possibility kasi unang-una they have the resources to resort doon sa klaseng paninira,” she said.
Told that about the LP denial, Senator Binay said: “Alangan namang aminin, sino naman ang aamin?”
“Unang-una, maganda sigurong pag-usapan sino ang nag-place ng ads? Sige, tignan natin in the coming weeks kung lalabas yung group na yun na nag-place ng ads kasi hindi rin naman ganun kamura mag-place ng ads.”
Unlike their opponents, Senator Binay said her father would not resort to mudslinging and would rather talk about issues that are important to the Filipino people.
She then reiterated her call on all candidates to make the May 2016 elections issue-based by presenting to the people what they have already done and what they plan to do if they get elected.
