The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has started its investigation on the incident which involved a bus ramming plastic barriers at Edsa which went viral on social media.
In a statement posted on its official Twitter page on Monday, the LTFRB said that it will issue a summon against the operator and driver of the Joanna Jesh bus which was seen ramming plastic barriers at Edsa southbound and sending the barriers flying toward other vehicles.
The video of the incident was taken by a certain Ian Santos and was posted on Top Gear Philippines’ Facebook page.
“LTFRB will summon operator & driver of Joanna Jesh bus that hit plastic barriers today at EDSA southbound lane per FB post of Top Gear,” the LTFRB’s statement read.

Santos said that two buses were racing with each other in the bus lane when the Joana Jesh bus veered to the left and hit the plastic barriers.
“To make it worse, the bus makes no effort to stop until forced to, a few hundred meters down the road. Luckily, no vehicles were damaged, no person was hurt, and no further accidents were caused by these idiotic drivers racing each other,” Santos said.
The video has since been liked more than 28,000 times and shared more than 30,000 times since it was posted on Monday.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) first installed the plastic barriers at Edsa last December.
