A flower and Garden Show Extravaganza will be held on Feb. 4-15 at Hardin ng Mga Bulaklak and Tropical Gardens, Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City to mark the 40th anniversary of the Philippine Horticultural Society Inc.

Club president Dorie Bernabe said the main focus of the show is to let the public know there is money in gardening.

Ornamental gardening is a big dollar-earner in Holland, Thailand, Hawaii, China, Japan, England and many other countries.

Apart from landscape exhibits and an individual plant competition, there will be a flower arrangement show, an on-the-spot painting contest, bonsai and fauna exhibit, daily lecture-demonstrations on the various aspects of gardening, raffles and a floral float parade on Feb. 12.

FEATURED STORIES

Any individual or company, local or foreign, may participate in the commercial exhibits, but the flower arrangement competition is open only to 40 club members.
