DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur – A man who was allegedly drunk was shot dead by a policeman here on Wednesday after he stabbed a policeman.

Supt. Querubin Manalang, city police chief, said Rico Raca, 45, died from a single gunshot wound on the chest when PO1 Crichton Berame shot him after Raca stabbed PO1 Carlo Alas around 10:35 a.m.

Manalang said Raca’s mother, 81-year-old Victoria Raca, a resident of Mabini St. here, called up the police for assistance, complaining her son, Rico, was harassing her.
