The aide of Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile confronted a Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) reporter Thursday about a story the newspaper ran on her plunder trial over the pork barrel scam.
After the second day of her plunder trial, Atty. Jessica Lucila “Gigi” Reyes tried to break away from her security escorts to talk to PDI reporter Marlon Ramos.

The PDI published a story about Reyes who was wearing a Goyard bag and Tory Burch shoes on her first day of plunder trial in the case involving Enrile.
“Yes. I’m here. Take my picture,” Reyes told Ramos before her security escorts stopped her from approaching the reporter.
Her brother confronted Ramos and asked him why he had to include details of Reyes’ designer shoes and bag in the story.
“Pati ba naman ‘yung bag? Naman. (You even wrote about the bag?) Why did you have to include that in your story? Inquirer ka eh (You are from Inquirer),” he said.
During the confrontation, Reyes was wearing the said Tory Burch shoes while her bag was held by a security escort.
Bags from Maison E. Goyard are not being sold in the Philippines. The Paris-based brand can only be bought in boutiques in France, London, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, China and Hong Kong.
The designer bag costs hundreds of thousands of pesos.
Meanwhile, Tory Burch shoes, which can be bought in Greenbelt, can cost about P10,000.
Reyes stands accused of plunder for allegedly serving as an agent of Enrile in purportedly receiving kickbacks from the pork barrel scam.
