Escudero to give Poe moral support during SC hearing of DQ cases
Senator Francis Escudero said he would attend the oral arguments at the Supreme Court this Tuesday afternoon on the disqualification cases against his presidential running mate, Senator Grace Poe, to give her moral support.
“Yes,” Escudero said in a text message when asked if he would attend the proceeding scheduled at 2.pm.
Asked why, the senator said: “To give Senator Grace moral support and listen to the oral arguments until before session starts.”
Escudero was referring to the session at the Senate, which starts at 3:30 p.m.
Poe, who is expected to attend the oral arguments, earlier said that she and her lawyers are ready to defend her case before the high court.
“Alam mo pag wala ka namang tinatago, wala ka namag dapat ikatakot. Ang katotohan ay madaling i-eksplika…” she said in an interview Monday.
