Classes suspended despite calm weather

DESPITE the calm weather in Metro Cebu yesterday, classes remained suspended for public elementary and high schools in Cebu City and province.

An advisory is expected at 7 a.m. today from the Department of Education, said  provincial schools superintendent Arden Monisit.

Several private schools also suspended their classes.

It’s up to the administration to decide the status today.

Elementary and high school classes were called off yesterday in Don Bosco, Sacred Heart School, University of San Carlos Talamban and main campus, St. Theresa’s Collec, ACT Bulacao and P. Del Rosario campus.

University of Cebu president August Go said they suspended classes from pre-school up to the secondary level yesterday.

The University of the Visayas cancelled classes in the elementary level. Dean Arsenio Pacana of CIT-University also announced there were no classes for the pre-school and elementary levels yesterday. USP Foundation cancelled  classes in all levels.Correspondent Jhunnex Napallacan
