TODAY, Jan. 14, is the 118th birth anniversary of Carlos P. Romulo, the first Asian to become UN General Assembly president. Also a Pulitzer-winning journalist, he was  named National Artist for Literature in 1984. He died on Dec. 15, 1985, at  the age  of 87. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
