ACCORDING to the Department of Health, a total of 929 fireworks-related injuries were reported from Dec. 21, 2015, to Jan. 5 this year. The figure was eight percent higher compared to the 860 fireworks-related injuries recorded during the same period previously. Metro Manila posted the highest number of injuries, accounting for 56 percent of the total cases. A total of two fatalities were recorded. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
