9,114 out of 18,500 pass nursing board exam
A total of 9,114 out of 18,500 examinees passed the recent licensure examinations for nurses, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday.
Data from PRC showed that the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Mariano Marcos State University, and Xavier University emerged as top-performing schools after getting perfect passing rates.
The PRC requires at least 50 examinees and at least 80-percent passing rate for a school to be declared as top-performing.
Alyssa Claire Almo of Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation, Suha Canlas Hassan Magdy Mohammed Ibrahim of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Alyssa May Madriaga of UST topped the exam with an 86.40-percent passing rate.
The exam was administered by the Board of Nursing in Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga in November last year.
