Sign SSS pension bill into law, Aquino urged
OZAMIZ CITY – Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares on Friday called on President Benigno Aquino III to sign the Social Security System (SSS) pension bill that Congress passed last month.
“President Aquino should make it a gift to the people in time for the anniversary of (the 1986) Edsa (uprising),” Colmenares, who authored the bill mandating an SSS pension increase of P2,000, said here.

Colmenares said the increase was long overdue.
