A 5.2-magnitude quake jolted Surigao del Norte early Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic quake was recorded 35 kilometers northeast of Burgos, Surigao del Norte at 4:36 a.m.
The quake had a depth of 12 kilometers and was felt at:
Intensity III in Burgos, Surigao del Norte;
Intensity II in Surigao City
Intensity I in Mainit, Surigao del Norte.
Instrumental Intensity: Intensity III – Surigao City
Phivolcs said there are no aftershocks expected from the quake.
There is also no expected damage from the tremor. IDL
