A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Cagayan province late Monday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the center of the quake was traced in Calayan, Cagayan ( coordinates: 19.12°N, 121.14°E – 038 km S 61° W of Calayan ) at 10:36:16 p.m.
It was tectonic in origin with a depth of 14 km, Phivolcs said adding that aftershocks are expected.
The agency said no damage was expected from quake.
