QC bettor bags P50-M lotto jackpot prize

JUST three days into the New Year, a lotto player from Quezon City has become the country’s newest multimillionaire after he won the Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot prize of P50 million on Jan. 3.

The lucky bettor bought the winning ticket at a lotto outlet on Commonwealth Avenue. He was the sole player to pick the correct number combination of 26-10-05-24-49-12.

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Vice Chair and General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said the lotto player placed a bet of P560 using the System 8 which randomly picked 28 combinations. A total of 29 second prize winners each won P23,770 while more than 900 third prize players took home P570 apiece. Jovic Yee
