Brazen attackers slash youth at restaurant in Malaysia
MALAYSIA – A youth having dinner at a restaurant near his house in Mantin was slashed to death, reported Tamil dailies.
G. Kesavan, 20, was with his sister and friends when two men rushed in and attacked him around 9pm on Monday.
The masked men were carrying parang (knife) and were not fazed by the crowd in the restaurant, said witnesses.
The attackers then fled, leaving the victim, a lorry assistant, bleeding profusely from cuts to his neck, face and torso. A group of bystanders sent the victim to the Seremban General Hospital but he died about two hours later.
A police spokesman said this could be a revenge attack.
A friend who was with the victim at the time of the attack has been detained for questioning.
