CALASIAO, Pangasinan—A policeman died while his two companions were hurt after the car he was driving smashed into parked vehicles in Barangay (village) Buenlag here on Thursday morning, police said.
In a text message, Supt. Ferdinand de Asis, Pangasinan police spokesperson, said PO1 James Bryan Cayago, who was assigned in the Central Luzon regional police office in Pampanga, died while being treated at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH) in San Carlos City.
His passengers, spouses Jomel and Susana Tamayo, were hurt and taken also to PPH.
De Asis said Cayago’s car was traversing the northbound lane of the national road in Barangay Buenlag at 12:35 a.m. when it swerved to its left.
