Ignacio, however, said some parts of the Philippines may experience isolated rain showers ahead of the New Year revelry.
She said Pagasa would issue a “special outlook” on December 31 for the weather on New Year’s Day.
Typhoon “Nona” had earlier battered central Philippines while typhoon “Onyok” also hit Mindanao, leaving thousands of Filipinos submerged in flood waters and displaced during the holiday celebration. CDG
