A magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolted Ilocos Sur on Thursday evening, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake occurred three kilometers north of Lapog in San Juan, Ilocos Sur at 8:44pm.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Intensity V was felt in Sinait, Ilocos Sur while Intensity III was felt in Santa Maria town.
The quake was also felt in various areas in Ilocos Norte.
Phivolcs said there was no immediate damage reported but warned the public for aftershocks. TVJ
