METRO Manila and several nearby provinces were warned of possible flooding on Tuesday night due to heavy to torrential rains spawned by Typhoon “Nona” (international name: Melor).

Red warning was issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) over Metro Manila, Rizal and Cavite at 9:30 p.m.

This means serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and evacuation is recommended as more than 30mm of rain was observed in an hour and will continue in the next two hours.
