NBI to file robbery-extortion case vs Avsegroup over ‘tanim-bala’
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday will file robbery-extortion complaint against members of the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group (PNP-Avsegroup) for their alleged involvement in the “tanim-bala” or bullet planting racket inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).
Justice Secretary Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa created Task Force TALABA (Tanim Laglag Bala) to probe the alleged extortion scheme.

NBI’s deadline was supposed to be on Nov. 18 but sought more time to investigate.
The Department of Justice has also assigned prosecutors while the Public Attorneys Office (PAO) has assigned prosecutors and public lawyers at the airport to expedite the processes and avoid inconvenience to travelers. CDG
