“The fight continues,” Senator Grace Poe said, shortly after the Senate Electoral Tribunal decided with finality on Thursday to junk the disqualification case against her seeking to unseat her in the Senate.

“Sa aking mga kababayan para bigyan kayo ng kasiguruhan na tuloy po ang laban natin, hindi po tayo nadiskwalipika ng division ng Comelec (Commission on Elections),” Poe said in a press conference at the Senate.
(To my fellow countrymen, to give you assurance that our fight continues, I was not disqualified by the Comelec division.)
She was referring to another disqualification case against her, this time, seeking to bar her from running for president in the 2016 elections.

Poe said she can still appeal the decision at the Comelec en banc and the issue can still be brought to the Supreme Court.
Asked if she was worried that most of the justices in the Supreme Court were appointed by President Benigno Aquino III, she said it was just normal. However, she added that she was ready to accept whatever the court decides.

Responding to a question, Poe also admitted that she would not have this problem on her citizenship if she chose to run with the administration’s standard-bearer, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.
“Alam ko mas magiging madali kung kasama ko sila at wala itong mga problemang ito kung kasama ko sila. Tanggap ko naman yun,” she said.
(I know it would be easier if I joined them and these problems wouldn’t surface if I was with them. I accept that.) RAM
