A technical problem forced the Light Rail Transit (LRT-1) to downgrade its operations in some stations on Wednesday, the LRT-1 said in an advisory.
On a twitter post, LRT-1 said it implemented a provisional operation from Gil Puyat Station to Roosevelt Station and vice versa past 12 p.m.
Rochelle Hilario of the Light Rail Manila Corporation told INQUIRER.net that a train was derailed while making a U-turn at the Baclaran Station at 12:32 p.m.
Hilario said no passenger was onboard during the incident because the commuters were already offloaded at the Baclaran Station. He added that the train’s driver was safe.
Hilario said full operations of the LRT-1 resumed at 12:54 p.m. Nestor Corrales/RAM
