The visit was organized by the Devotees of Nuestra Señora de Piat Foundation.
Also known as Nuestra Señora de Visitacion and the Patroness of the Cagayan Valley, the image was brought from Macau to Lal-lo, Cagayan, by Dominican missionaries in 1604.
Each year, thousands of pilgrims visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Piat seeking miracles of healing for illnesses and other afflictions. The devotion to Our Lady continues to grow and spread to other parts of the country and the world. The Lady of Piat also joins the annual grand Marian procession held on the first Sunday of December.
