QC girl, 5, rescued from suspected kidnapper in Isabela

ROXAS, Isabela–A 5-year-old girl was rescued on Friday night from her male nanny in Lanting village here after she was reported to have been abducted from her school in Quezon City on Thursday.

The girl’s father, a tricycle driver, told the police that his daughter was allegedly taken by Reynaldo Ampaya, who fetched her at the Harvest Tutorial Learning Center in Quezon City, said Supt. Narciso Paragas, intelligence division chief of the Isabela police.

The father claimed to have received a text message from Ampaya, asking for the passwords of the family’s automated teller machine card and laptop computer before the girl could be released.

By tracing the source of the text message, the Isabela police tracked down Ampaya to his relative’s house in Lanting village, where he had been hiding with the girl. CDG
