COTABATO CITY—At least 14 persons were injured in a grenade blast during the Kalimudan Festival celebration in front of the provincial capitol grounds in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat province, on Saturday night, police said.
People were milling around “ukay-ukay” and ornamental plant stalls along the Isulan-Tacurong highway when unidentified suspects tossed the grenade about 8:30 p.m.
Supt. Jemuel Siason, chief of provincial police public safety battalion, said the blast occurred about 20 meters away from AG Advance gasoline station.
