3 shot dead by motorcycle rider in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY—Three persons on board a motorcycle were shot dead by one of two men on board another motorcycle about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Barangay Pandan in Lambunao town Iloilo province.

Killed were driver Alex Acopio, 27, and his two passengers, Jasmine Navarra and Acopio’s girlfriend, Dory May Lozada, 25.

“The suspects shot the driver. And went back to finish the other victims,” Senior Insp. Felix Alianza, Lambunao police chief, said in an interview over RMN-Iloilo.

The victims were rushed to Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao, but were pronounced dead by attending physicians.
The perpetrators then fled toward the direction of Calinog.
