All roads closed this week during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit in Manila have been reopened to traffic on Friday afternoon.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) made the announcement in an advisory posted on its social media pages.
“As of 2:45 p.m., all roads locked down for Apec Summit now open and accessible to all vehicles,” the MMDA said.
The road closures have caused heavy traffic and prolonged commute for thousands over the duration of the Apec meetings. People were also forced to walk to get to their place of work and other destinations.

Among the roads closed over the past days include the stretch of Roxas Boulevard, Edsa-Ayala in Makati to Edsa Extension in Pasay, Macapagal Avenue from Aseana to Buendia Extension, Edsa-Magallanes Interchange, and the Metro Manila Skyway (Sales to Magallanes Exit). CDG
