9-hour power interruption to hit Pangasinan towns on Nov. 19

LINGAYEN– The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a nine-hour power interruption affecting 14 towns in Pangasinan on Thursday, Nov. 19.

In a notice issued by Lilibeth Gaydowen, the North Luzon Corporation Communication & Public Affairs Officer, the NGCP warned of the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities affecting operations of the Labrador Substation of the Central Pangasinan Electric Corp., the Calasiao and Dagupan Substations of the Dagupan Electric Corp., and the entire Pangasinan 1 Electric Corp. franchise area from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The power outage would affect the towns of Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani, Anda, Bolinao, Calasiao, and Sta. Barbara, and Dagupan City.

Gaydowen said the NGCP is replacing 10 wood poles with steel poles and is conducting corrective maintenance along its Labrador-Bani and Labrador-Calasiao 69kV line.

Normal operations will immediately resume once repairs are completed, she said. CDG
