Minglanilla man ‘kills self’

A MAN was found dead with a slashed wrist in his house in Pakigne, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Eliezer Peña, 27, whose body was found after a neighbor complained he was being harassed by Peña.

Police received a call from resident Joseph Nellas who complained that Peña was kicking their house gate.

When policemen arrived, Peñas was already in his house with a slashed left wrist.

PO1 Nikki Carlo Plarisan of the Minglanilla Police Station, said Nellas tried to attack the policemen who tried to pacify him.

Peña then ran to his room and locked himself in. Pena’s sister was called by police to talk to him.

When the sister arrived, she asked the police to force open the locked door.

A bloodied Peña was found slumped on the floor.

The man was rushed to the South General Hospital in Naga City where he he died after a few hours.
