Isko Moreno decries ‘tanim-DQ’ vs Grace

Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday said someone was behind the filing of the different disqualification cases against Sen. Grace Poe.

Moreno, however, declined to identify the person.

He likened the string of disqualification cases to the infamous “tanim-bala” (bullet-planting) scam at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, calling it “tanim disqualification.”

“Tanim-bala cases are rampant in our airports. But in politics, what they’re doing against Sen. Grace Poe is ‘tanim-DQ,’” Moreno, who is running for senator in the slate of Poe and Sen. Francis Escudero, said.

Poe, who is leading presidential surveys, is facing at least five disqualification cases in connection with her citizenship and residency.

“Why only now?” Moreno said, adding that the mastermind behind all this was sure to benefit from Poe’s disqualification. Aie Balagtas See
