NATIONAL flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced Tuesday the cancellation of more flights ahead of expected airport disruptions at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport due to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Leaders’ Summit next week.
In a statement, PAL said Tuesday that the additional flight cancellations involve 78 international and 280 domestic flights on Nov. 15-21.
Last week, PAL announced an initial batch of affected flights numbering over 200.
“The airline is seeking the understanding of affected passengers, stressing the need to give way to the arrival and departure of Apec leaders during which runway closures will be in effect,” PAL said.
PAL said affected passengers could have their flights rescheduled and would be informed of their new flight schedules by e-mail, phone call or text.
