AFTER five years in hiding, one of the suspects in the killing of a town councilor in Ilocos Norte was arrested in Quezon City.
Quezon City police director Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio on Monday announced the arrest of Walter Taculma, 35, over the weekend, based on a tip.
Taculma, a resident of Barangay Bimmanga in Currimao town, Ilocos Norte, went into hiding after he was identified as a suspect in the killing of Councilor Estela Vidad, who was shot dead on Oct. 27, 2010, the day before the barangay elections in their area.
On Saturday, the police were alerted to Taculma’s presence in the Cubao area, leading to his arrest. Jaymee T. Gamil
