Damage from Typhoon Lando (Koppu) has reached an estimated P11 billion, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC ) said.

 Over P9 billion of the destroyed property was lost to agriculture while P.13 billion was lost to infrastructure.

 A total P11,000,0003,194.04 estimated cost of damage was recorded in parts of Luzon, which was hit by the typhoon last month.

 Lando was earlier tagged by the NDRRMC as the worst to hit the country in terms of destruction this year.

 A total of 70 health facilities were damaged in the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Cordillera:

 Ilocos — 2 barangay health stations; one city health office

Cagayan — one regional office; four hospitals; four rural health units’ seven barangay health stations and one barangay health station

Central Luzon — three hospitals; three rural health units’ 30 barangay health stations and two oyther health facilities

Calabarzon — one hospital and one rural health unit

Cordillera — two hospitals and five barangay health stations

 Death toll remained at 48. 

 The government has given P122 million worth of assistance by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and local government units. JE
