Pagasa warns of sea travel in North

Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon due to strong winds of northeast monsoon, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

The northeast monsoon or hanging amihan is prevailing over extreme Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Easterlies, or warm winds from the east, is affecting the eastern section of the country.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the Bicol Region, Eastern and Central Visayas, the Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula and Quezon province, Pagasa said.

The Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light rain.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.
