DIGOS CITY – Three suspected drug pushers were arrested here during raids conducted by anti-drug officials on Thursday and Friday.
Digos City police director Querubin Manalang said the operations were conducted by the city police’s anti-drugs task force, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, provincial anti-illegal drugs special operations task force (Paidsotf), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Manalang named those arrested on Friday as Ariel Enriquez, 37, and Randy Gonzales, both residing in Digos City. Manalang added that Enriquez yielded about P740,000 worth of suspected shabu.
He said that aside from illegal drugs, lawmen also seized from Enriquez a hand grenade, .22 caliber ammunition, a weighing scale, and drug paraphernalia.
Chief Insp. Jose Teody Condesa, CIDG provincial team leader, said the search on Enriquez’s house was backed by a court warrant.
Manalang said the third suspect, identified as Alan Dano Balaga, also a resident of Digos City, was arrested during a raid Thursday. Eldie Aguirre, Inquirer Mindanao
