/ 12:30 AM October 29, 2015

Today, Oct. 29, is the 114th founding anniversary of the National Museum. On Oct. 29, 1901, the Insular Museum of Ethnology, National History and Commerce was established. In 1996, then President Fidel Ramos established a committee on the creation of a National Museum complex. Today, the national and archaeological collections are housed in the old Finance building while the national fine arts collections are in the old Legislative building.
