THE LAST week of October was declared Nurses’ Week by virtue of Proclamation No. 539 signed on Oct. 17, 1958, by then President Carlos Garcia. The Filipino Nurses Association, the predecessor of the Philippine Nurses Association, was tasked to be in charge of the celebration. The association currently holds office on F.T.
