/ 06:53 AM October 10, 2011

Kenyan running sensation Josphat Kiptanoi and veteran runner Merlita Arias-Dunkin dominated the 10-kilometer run of the Pink October Run yesterday at Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.

Kiptanoi and Dunkin still put up a strong performance despite knowing  there was no cash prize at stake for the winners of the race.

But because the event was aimed at strengthening the awareness of breast cancer prevention, both runners still gave it their best with Kiptanoi ruling the men’s side with a time of 35 minutes and 41 seconds. Dunkin breasted the finish line in 53 minutes and 16 seconds to top the distaff side.
