THE SECURITIES and Exchange Commission (SEC) was established on Oct. 26, 1936, by virtue of Commonwealth Act No. 83. Operations began on Nov. 11, 1936, under Commissioner Ricardo Nepomuceno. The SEC currently holds office at the SEC Building, Edsa, Greenhills in Mandaluyong City. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
