ILOILO CITY–The remains of one of the two missing passengers of a motorboat that capsized between Iloilo and Guimaras was recovered early Tuesday, according to the Coast Guard.
CJ Gamotea, 3, is the eighth fatality in the capsizing of motorboat Tawash in what is considered by Guimaras officials as the deadliest motorboat accident in the province.
The body of the boy was found in the waters of Barangay Sawang in Buenavista town in Guimaras around 6:30 a.m.. His identity was later confirmed by family members, according to Lt. Junior Grade Edison Diaz, commander of the Coast Guard Iloilo.
