5.4-magnitude quake hits Occidental Mindoro

eathquakeA 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Occidental Mindoro late Monday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

It was tectonic origin with a depth of 101 kilometers and recorded at 9:50 p.m., the agency added.

According to Phivolcs, the quake was located at 13.83°N, 120.39°E – 019 km N 51° east of Looc, Occidental Mindoro.

Phivolcs said the quake was also felt in the following areas:

– Intensity III- Clark, Pampanga; General Trias, Cavite, Malolos, Bulacan; Bacoor, Cavite; Obando, Bulacan

– Intensity II- Pateros

It said aftershocks are exepected.
