Typhoon ‘Lando’ intensifies; Signal No. 3 up in 3 provinces

Typhoon “Lando” has intensified as it gets nearer on Friday night, the state weather bureau said.

In its 11 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised public storm signal number 3 over the provinces of Northern Aurora, Quirino and Isabela.

Pagasa said Lando was spotted 400 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora with maximum winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 185 kph.

The weather bureau warned that heavy to intense rain would be felt within the 600 kilometer diameter of the typhoon.

Public storm signal number 2 was raised in the following areas:

The rest of Aurora Polillo Island Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, La Union, Benguet, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, and Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan Islands.

Public storm signal number 1 was raised in the following provinces:

Batanes Pangasinan Bulacan Pampanga Tarlac Zambales Bataan Rizal Batangas Laguna Quezon Cavite Albay Camarines Norte Camarines Sur Catanduanes Metro Manila
